Scotland’s First Passivhaus

This year, Scotland’s first Passivhaus project, Tigh-Na-Cladach, was completed.  The development of social housing near Dunoon on the Clyde Coast consists of 15 terraced properties.  The developer, Fyne Homes, worked woth Professor Deveci of Robert Gordons University on the scheme which demonstrates that passivhaus technology can be applied to the cold, wet and windy climate of the West of Scotland. If other housing developments follow this lead then our domestic energy consumption can begin to drop significantly.
